I see where you are coming from Craig and in some cases I’m sure you are definitely right, however if you look at the windscreens, auto glass delivered me and fitted a pilkington screen however it still hand Land Rover embossed on the screen just without the black paint.this and Compared to my othe ff with original screen they are identical so I can’t imagine this is different.

Also on my m6 I ordered a Bosch alternator and when we got the old one off they were identical except where the bmw stamp was it had a grind mark where it had clearly been ground off.

I guess it also comes down to r and d and changing the tooling costs too as to if it’s worth while cheaping out... Current stable:
