Locking nut broken

Hi I have a puncture driver side front 1997 tdv8
When trying to remove locking nut bits of it broke I’m now stuck will this tool from Halfords work has anyone tried it thanks in advance

Not if its an L322 you have? The lockers are made to spin in the middle if you attempt to remove them without the correct key! ie that tool!

Go to a JLR garage (main dealer) with your broken key and buy a new one! (they only do around 10-12 different keys) A PITA i know but its the easiest was sir

You could try going at it with a hammer and cold chisel to see if you can get it to turn....

Then replace your locking wheel nuts with standard ones Wink .

This outfit removed one for me without any difficulty. Cost me £20 as I called in to their premises.

only way I was able to take my off was with grinder and cut off wheel + dremel tool with cut off wheel and than hummer this in the nut,

And this is why I removed and replaced my locking wheel nuts with standard wheel bolts.

This is why locking wheel nuts should be fitted with greased threads and never over-tightened. If there is the slightest doubt about there condition they should either be replaced by new or replaced by plain nuts. Assuming you can get them off at all.
Some designs are far better than others.
