Evening all,

For downstream of HCU, workshop manual states, as step 4: "Conduct the bleed procedure with the engine running."

And for step 5: "Connect the diagnostic tool to the vehicle, select diagnostic and proceed as directed for bleeding the brake system."

It (the workshop manual) then proceeds to outline a fairly standard bleed procedure using 28 "centre 1/3" pedal strokes for the rears and 10 similar strokes for the front etc. Order for RHD is RL, RR, FL, FR.

My questions: How important is it to have the diagnostic tool connected? Can this be done without? If required, does the IID tool have this functionality?

Any guidance very much appreciated!
