My passenger mirror camera intermittently fails and I've heard about others with the same issue - I get the impression that there is a possible connection problem with that camera - it might be worth just checking the terminals at each end.
No idea about the front one, but it could be the same problem. I think the control unit is under the front passenger seat?
I've not bothered investigating properly on mine as it works most of the time (and to be honest, I forget I have them these days!). 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE
