EGR delete - TD6

Hi all

I’m struggling to fit the EGR delete to my TD6.

The metal pipe that comes up on the left hand side of the EGR casing and joins it won’t allow me to line up the bolt holes on the delete unit.

Can I bend the pipe or will it just snap? Should I fit the delete when the engine is hot or cold?

Thanks

Jim

That's odd, it should have lined up with the original EGR module ?

Suggest loosen the lower bolts for the EGR pipe to give you a bit of wiggle room, get everything in place - fix the EGR Delete to the crankcase, then tightem up the jubilee clip, then the lower bolts for the EGR pipe. Should all pull together ? .

Hmmmm.... This is the second one I have had from the supplier who state that they have never had anyone experience in this problem. This makes me wonder if my pipe has previously been bent out of shape? Is there not a portion of the pipe with corrugations to allow flexibility?

My only other option is to remove a few mm from the blank arm and have it re spot welded.

Decisions, decisions..........

Jim

As Stan says, the bit that connects does look a bit too long. I can't remember how mine went but have you tried bolting the unit on first and then manipulating the connection? John
