Did you give it time to heat up so the plastic expands? Also a bit of revving helps. If that doesn't show anything you probably need a smoke test to nightlight when an air leak is coming from. Good luck Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue

I’ve had a smoke test done but nothing came out of the manifold

I’ll get it warmed up and try it again 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Just tried it hot

No bubbles anywhere. No soot on the plastic cover either.

So my jb weld is still holding up after 2 weeks and just short of a thousand miles. It certainly looks like it is only the drivers side that fails so if/when mine fails I’m just going to replace the one unless there is a spate of passenger side failures by the time I need to do it
Thanks for all the posts so far, these all help with the repair decisions

So my qbond lasted a week or so but was leaking again. Chipped what I could and now used puraflex u40 which is the same as sikaflex apparently. Will see how that goes. Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue

Well my repair has failed today, 3 weeks and just shy of 1500 miles and I got the restricted performance bong along with the P023 code. Oddly it was on the exact same place on the same road as the first time, I pulled into the same lay-by to reset. I now expect to replace the manifold but will try Sikaflex first.
The conclusion so far is that the solid epoxy repairs don’t last very long, but do last long enough to part ex or fool Schofield and his kittens.
Anyone looking for a 3.6 needs to check this very carefully as I’m guessing that a replacement will cost well North of £1000 if you’re paying Someone to do it which is easily enough to temp someone to dump a faulty one.

Sikaflex repair failed yesterday so I've concluded that there isn't an easy fix for this, I'm sorting a new manifold this weekend.

I've ordered a new one as well as I don't think the sikaflex is holding but will check again at the weekend. eBay have a 10% code today for using the android app so brought the pain down to under £300 for the new manifold. Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue

I reckon you’ve confirmed that this isn’t a long term fix.
The other thing that swayed me was the thought of wrecking a turbo as I’ve got a pet theory about the P023 code.
When I was researching this problem I saw lots of claims that P023 meant that the turbo was fubared but I suspect that it’s driving with a fault that causes P023 that wrecks the turbo.
I’ve no facts to support this but my theory is any pressure leak after the turbo could cause the turbo to overspeed then wreck itself?
