I have had this twice? stopped the car after a drive ie: turned off the ignition, foot on the brake to start press button to start and the dash message is foot on the brake to start? as I already have my foot on the brake I can't understand why I get the message? I then shut down get out of the car lock the car wait for the computers to shut down and start again and it works after two times of pressing the foot on the brake as usual?

Hi, Mike on thinking about the starter I did hear a click from the starter which would point to that as the problem, could anyone point me where to source the parts to fix it myself? as I read your`s and others post.

It’s a couple of months since I searched for the best deal, but Opie Oils was the best deal with free delivery.

Just check all the connections first, including the earth straps. easier and cheaper....

TBH, by the time you've taken out the old starter to replace the contacts in the solenoid, you'd be better off (and more confident of a permanent fix) if you just replaced the whole starter.
