True. My garage definitely needs hi vis: or at least a ball of string so you can find your way out.

In the local village someone made a point at a meeting that they wished they had the same rights as a one legged lesbian black single mum (ok maybe a linguistically clumsy aphorism but honest)

Edit: it was just a meeting about a charity evening- no swastikas before anyone jumps in Wink

They were questioned by police ( the officer clearly embarrassed) due to protocol following a complaint.

Sad but true.

Ok, by the dictionary definition maybe I am a bigot; if that means I won't truck with the right on lot who cast aspersions without knowing me then Sheep Logical fallacies aside and for the people with more substance than the tabloid readers or Daily Mail trolling pseudo intelligentsia: as previously mentioned untidiness and/or dischordia is part of life. We're all busy etc but I refuse to accept that such utter pestilence is in any way related.

Aaaaaaand relax.

Social class and true class/dignity are not always the same.

I grew up in North & East London and the police would never have been called if I said 'one legged black lesbian mother', unless of course they could identify which one of the 1000s in my local area I was talking about.. Whistle

Rolling with laughter So many places: same story different post code. As I said the officer just seemed uncomfortable but it's a sad fact that we're the easiest foil: we pay the tax and the high fuel bills council tax etc etc but god forbid we call the lovely "travellers" pikeys or gyppos or scum- that's wrong. (won't stop me!!!)

I strongly believe that the lack of "looking down ones nose" is what has lead to the fact this country is in the state it is in.

50 years ago you would buy a British car because your neighbours would think you were unpatriotic if you bought a French or worse - German car. This is no longer the case and now we have no car industry. In France they all drive French cars and have a booming industry.

It used to be unacceptable to have children out of wedlock - mainly for the shame of what other people would think. Before the welfare state, having a child was a massive burden on the rest of your family. Now it's seen as your right to spread your legs from the age of 13 and have 3 multi coloured kids by the age of consent!

People used to keep their kids in order, because if someone saw your kids doing something bad you would be ashamed of them. Nowadays if you berate a parent for letting their kids chuck a stone through your greenhouse you're likely to get a broken nose!

There is not enough shame in the world - I intend to right this wrong!

You're entitled to your Liberal views - But I will counter them at every opportunity with mine.

Being a young 70's child my uncle keeps rending me of Enoch Powell and how he warned of this situation.

Uk car industry.....did that not fail due to most of the produce falling apart and the strikes... Laughing

I thought we could all voice our opinions en masse but then realised how it may look if a whole convoy of FFRRs rounded Whitehall protesting for equal rights Rolling with laughter

Bloody frustrating though, in the words of my grandparents "it's the kids I worry about, what will it be like I'm 30 years for them"......feeling old now goodnight Thumbs Up

Funny you should mention that Dan a mate of mine has constant problems with gangs of 13/14 year old kids that hang about on the corner of his street round next to some old pensioners houses that are waiting to be redoveloped, in the last 2 weeks, he's had 3 windows broken on his car and over the last year or 2, his car keyed and dented by someone kicking the rear 1/4. Bearing in mind his is the last house at the end of the road and is side on to a busy main road were all the mentioned kids walk past.

Because of the windows being broken on his car, I was there last week installing 2 CCTV cameras for him, up the ladders working away when 4 girls walked past and started shouting, "Fall off the ladders you c*nt, go on, Censored fall" They could have only been 12 or 13 at the very most. Knowing the problems he has with the kids round there, we just don't acknowledge them and carry on without so much as even bothering to look at them. I just shook my head with my back to them and got more abuse hurled at me, "Who the f*uck are you shaking your head at, come down here and I'll kick you all over, do you know who my dad is etc etc" Yeah, like I'm gonna do that!

Later on, was talking to my mate about it and we both wondered when did kids become such arseholes? I would never have dared to speak to anyone like that at their age, nor would I ever speak to anyone like that now come to think of it. 2006 Mercedes CLS

It's just a complete lack of morales. These kids should be taken away from their parents and put into care. Frankly their parents can starve on the streets for all I care, they should have less rights than dogs as they certainly behave worse and have less social skills. They could always get off their backsides and get a job, and maybe they'll find some self respect.

Maybe then when they've bought a car and some oik smashes their window and it'd come full circle they will know better.

Unfortunately, the only people who can afford to have large families are the long term unemployed/lazy. So by the breeding ratio, we will always be outnumbered.

Maybe if the reward for sterilisation was a packet of fags and a bottle of Smirnoff we would have less problems?

The problem is too many liberals and do gooders. Instead of chopping of hands/heads as punishment we have the easy option these days, send them to a warm dry centrally heated prison with more facilities than they have at home, 2-3 years later they come back out and start all over again - bring back capital punishment, you only get one chance with that and it certainly filters out the less desirable element in society..................... 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

what Dan says is right in so many respects - my father as a retired MD of a building company and me as a retired architect have seen things to turn your stomach

best one i saw in a council house was a POND in the living room with ducks Laughing

often doors removed and burnt for firewood - third bedroom converted to a pigeon loft - dog Censored piled in the corner!

BUT

its most certainly not the preserve of the poor

i visit some very wealthy people and would not accept a cup of tea or sit on the sofa!

a 'friend' runs a company in london providing 'domestic staff/cleaners' to the rich and famous

firstly all staff have to sign a non disclosure confidentiality agreement!

i don't know 'names' but some examples of what her staff have to tolerate

a) piles of used condoms under the bed - some covered in blood
b) ditto empty booze bottles
c) used sanitary towels all over the place
d) Censored on bed linen
e) vomit all over the house (too idle to get to the bog)

the 'poor' are called dirty sods - the rich 'eccentric'!

remember the tv programme - The Filthy Fulfords'?
