Hi all

A question for the master technicians on the forum.

The BMW M57 engine originally had swirl flaps on the inlet manifold. Over time these failed and ended up being sucked into the engine causing major problems.

Now, I had intended to delete and blank the swirl flaps on my car, but after looking on various websites for the procedure to do this it appears that the M57 used in the Range Rover was never fitted with the dreaded swirl flaps.

Can anyone here confirm that this was the case?

Make sure you have upgraded to the later BMW vortex crankcase filter. Never have to change it after....
