Smoking when accelerating

Hi my 2007 tdv8 kicks out alot of smoke under hard acceleration.
I have looked at the top two intercooler hoses and they look ok.
I'm looking to replace all the intercooler hoses to rule them out.
Would you guys fit these if should I go with original?

Did you take them off & have a proper look ? Sometimes the splits are hard to find.....

I'd probably replace with silicone ones - couldn't find any when I had my 3.6 and had to replace genuine ones twice whilst I owned it.

Have you checked the rear 2 hoses ? The short 90 degree bends further back under the engine cover.

When I had the same symptoms it was the right hand side rear hose that had split.
If it is 1 of them , they're a pig to replace as they're so short. Best is to warm the replacements with a hairdryer or similar to make them as flexible as possible. Paul,

It's a diesel black sooty smoke. The rear bumper gets a layer of it if not cleaned for a couple of weeks.
It not oil. The level hasn't gone down since buying it so fingers crossed it's not a turbo.
It only does it during hard acceleration. The rest of the time runs perfect.

I had exatcly the same problem about a month ago. Bought the hose kit off ebay seller was britparts iirc.

The split was on the underside of the right hose for me. Really hard to see until it was off the car.
