England 2006 Range Rover Vogue SE Td6 Buckingham Blue
Which one

I sold my 2002 4.4 fatty due to moving and needing a van.now I'm looking to buy another
I want the newer model with the touch screen and have seen a 2006 diesel and 2006 supercharged advertised locally any advise on which one.
Are the diesels gutless
Should I try to find another 4.4 but with the jag engine
Thanks

A Trap

The TDV8 Diesels aren’t gutless, they feel more torquey and quicker than the SC in normal everyday driving, it’s only when to ringng the SC out and use all the rpms that they are quicker. Watch Harries Garage on his TDV8.

England 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zambezi Silver

I have a TD6 and think that it’s a good car. Obviously it’s not going to blast around like a sports car as it only has 174hp under the bonnet. Some folk get them chipped up but this then places strain on the auto box which isn’t known for its strength and longevity....

If you want to bimble around in style and luxury for a fraction of the cost of a new Full Fat and enjoy maintaining cars then you won’t go far wrong.

Scotland 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

I have had both the Td6 and currently a Tdv8. I was happy enough with the Td6 but the gearbox reported weakness was always in the background.

Having said that, I changed the oil and filter a couple of times and had no problems.

I then got my 3.6 Tdv8 and there is no comparison. The Tdv8 brings the car to life. The performance and smoothness are on a different level.

If you can wait and stretch to it I would suggest you go for a Tdv8

My tuppence worth. Thumbs Up John

Totally agree with weenie, the 2007 onwards TDV8 sorted so many issues and is a massive step up in performance and refinement.

Worth waiting and saving the extra or borrowing a bit more that’s required

I didn't find the performance of my td6 too bad to be honest. Downside was the mpg was about 14/15 as we really only used it around town. Made me wish I'd bought the supercharged.
