It's the way they say "and for security purposes".

I refuse to give out my email address to any business - especially if I am travelling overseas. Hotel receptions in particular annoy me - why do they need my email address (especially if I have booked in on-line when they have it anyway) - it's because the front of house staff collect them and sell them on. If somebody insists on having one then I either tell them I don't have email or I make one up............. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

I can live with emails. Once youve marked them as junk they go straight in the bin anyway. ..... Its the phone calls I hate. Every year I get a raft of car insurance quotes then get rang constantly for about 6 weeks after My Previous RR's!

No they aren't a problem since I signed up to the Telephone Preference Service (it's free) and if I do get the odd Double Glazing company calling I just tell them I will report them as I'm on the TPS and my number shouldn't be on their systems. Even numbers randomly generated (aka the silent call) should show as a TPS listed number. I also have my mobile phone listed with them 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes |

The TPS is great. It actually works! Used to get a few calls every day. but now only about one every three months. |
