Extended Warranty

I've recently bought a second hand L405 4.4 Autobiography and wanted to know if i can take out a land rover warranty as the deals seem to be useless! The car has done 73k miles and is a 2013 model. Any useful info is appreciated!

thanks

You can - phone them up and they'll quote you. Quoted me £1,455 for 12 months on a '63 AB with 30k miles. Car needs to have multipoint check at a LR dealer first though, so if anythings is revealed by that it will need putting right before they cover it

Evening
My new to me L405 is already covered by an LR extended warranty that runs out at the end of August, popped into Farnell in Nelson today and they couldn’t have been anymore unhelpful. Couldn’t find my car on the warranty system and said it would be £216 for the vehicle check and then over £1,600 per annum with LR Assist included. I don’t have the warranty paper work so I don’t know if. There is a single claim limit. Having come from a D4 that had the all too popular crank snapping problem I need to know that if the SDV8 decides to let go I’m covered. Any info is much appreciated.

if yours has a warranty at the moment and is under 100k miles and less than 10 years old you'll be contacted by LR and asked if you want an extended warranty..

£1600 per year or £160 per month for 10 months is the most expensive including UK and euro breakdown..

I’ve only owned it a couple of weeks, the letter to extend was sent to the previous owner, who is also a member on here.

I bought a 2017 AU 4.4 and have 8 months or so LR warranty left on vehicle

- got a quote for an extended warranty to start when LR runs out in 2020.

Got a quote from Warranty Direct £1,904 but that's for THREE YEARS - covering every option they do (core, core plus, safety systems, emissions, multimedia). I thought that was a very good price?

- claims limited to value of vehicle
- policy limit value of vehicle
- £50 excess
- labour uncapped

There is one quote which says it doesn't cover any loss arising from failure to follow LR recommendation on when to change camshaft drive belt. (may not be necessary on 4.4 with chain?/when is that?

they have a list of approved garages (inc some JLR dealers) but you can use your own and pay the bill and get refunded once work complete and they may have a limit on the hourly rate the garage can charge (but this is similar to private medical limits for doctors etc)

Thoughts?
