Where can I buy.....

Castrol SLX powerflow C1 5W-30, other than the dealers.

no joy searching online.

car went into reduced power mode last night, and needs 1.5litres!

either my car is burning a Censored load of oil, or the useless Censored dealer didn't check the fluids before delivery! Gerry

i will try europarts now.

new model has electronic display of oil level on dashboard screen (between dials). It shows a min/max chart, and displays a text message stating how much oil you have to add.
According to manual there is no dipstick. but it was dark last night so i didn't hunt for it. Gerry

A new TDv8 might use a lot of oil in the first few months. Due to the high carbon content of the block it absorbs oil and there is a warning about it in the manual. Expect up to a litre in 600miles...................... both the new TDv8's I have owned have needed this much top-up within the first 2000 miles and then they haven't used any more oil after that. And yes the 4.4 has an electronic oil level monitor there is no dipstick - mind the wire with plastic beads on it that my 3.6 has isn't much use as a dipstick as it's difficult to read. What Car? this month comments that they sent their car back to the supplying dealership because they didn't read the manual............. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes
