LR dont want problems themselves so hence higher specs on their pads and consider the weight of the FF stopping from speed...

a fiesta wont have that same stress on its brakes... ..

I’ll check these items when I do the discs and pads. Thanks for the tip. My RR only has 50k miles and looks to have had an easy life, but I will check as suggested.

I had the same problem. Worn disks, replaced with. Brembo at a garage, 6 months later I have slight judder and a bit of break squeel. Frustrating.

Next time I’ll get genuine LR Pads and Disks. -------------------------------------

Update

Finally fitted the front discs and pads....Brembo branded.

What can I say...simply awesome. The originals were shot

Time will tell whether these Brembo branded are any good but first impressions are promising

Caliper pins.....what a stupid design. Well copperslipped so hopefully they’ll be easy to remove next time. Hardest job was removing the caliper bolts. Took some effort but all sorted.

One minor problem. Backing plates. Mine are aluminium but the genuine replacements I bought are steel and didn’t fit! So big washers in the originals where the holes had been damaged by corrosion. Hopefully they will last until the next disc change.

I agree the pins are terrible. When I had a different at with Brembo calipers someone manufactured some reusable pins. Bigger at one end and essentially a split pin in the other. Worked great

England 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black

I replaced all my tdv8 Brembo calipered cars discs and pads with MTEC branded items a, few months ago, all four discs are cross drilled/grooved and the car stops smoothly and way shorter than before, interestingly even with 135000mls on the clock the Brembo caliper pins tapped out with ease, and all the caliper bolts unscrewed easily too. The heavily encrusted old discs were in a right old state upon inspection, especially the rears and the inner drum bit was appalling, I'm surprised the epb worked under the cir umstances! I'm guessing they were the original discs Shocked 2008 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 in Java Black with parchment and Navy interior. 125000mls.

I used to be indecisive and have a split personality... but we are ok now...I think?
