I had a huge soft spot for the car I first learned to drive in and then spent my first year driving. It doesn’t quite fit the criteria of wanting one back now though! But it’s amazing to think that the test that I passed, with a whole 26 bhp, still entitles me drive a 339 bhp RR, any number of trailers and 7.5 tonne lorries. Poor sods now need many hours of training and several pointless and costly tests to achieve the same thing

@Red Merle, +1 on the requirements for licensing between now and then. I took my bike test in the 80s and i had to do two circuits left and two right around a 1/2 mile block. The examiner couldnt see me for 70% of the time !!!! Probably explains alot of my questionable riding habits 2015 4.4 AB

This one, sadly it looked great on top but when on the 2 poster we were able to ‘flex’ the whole front end, bulkhead and crossmember under the radiator were gone.

Vw Corrado VR6 that I bought when I was 19, still to this day cannot understand why the insurance was so stupidly cheap for a 19 year old on a 2.9 V6.

My Jensen Interceptor, which I bought in 1989 and used as my daily for five years commuting 50 miles to W1 and back. I bought a Jaguar Sovereign for commuting to save fuel and didn't drive my Interceptor much, so sold it for peanuts in early 2000's. This photo is from when a subsequent owner was selling it on eBay - I should have bought it back when I had the chance!

Paris blue Capri Injection, stupidly sold it to some half wit who allowed it to be stolen and stripped twice but thought he was a "winner" with the insurance money...
