France 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Rimini Red
2012 TDV8 help needed

Hi chaps
Could really do with some help, just arrived at hotel in folkstone after collecting my new “to me” car, nightmare 140 mile journey in heavy traffic, sat nav crap sending me everyway I didn’t want to go!
Anyway, my problem is this; the climate is not working in auto mode, if I turn the fan up manually, and direct the heat to my feet and dash vents, I can get some heat out of it, but have to wind the temp dials right up.
In auto mode both red lights show on the dial, but there appears to be no fan working, no matter how high you set the temp.
Also, it only happened a couple of times, but the seatbelt warning comes on when driving, repeatedly.
Car is a “minter” apart from that.
My dilemma is that I am meant to be driving back to France tomorrow, but unless this is simple fix, I might have to take the car back, and all that, that entails.
Any ideas?

Steve

Turn off the seatbelt warning as a starter for 10....

I occasionally have issues with my climate buttons and random behaviour. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

With regards the seatbelt light - you didn't have anything on the passenger seat did you like the handbook? Mine is quite sensitive if I have something on the passenger seat but no belt done up and it can and does trigger the seatbelt light as things move about.

On the heating, it was a warmish day in the UK today so turning the heat up on Auto may not have actually done anything if you know what I mean because it may have felt the cabin was at that temp or higher already. On manual mode mine is like a furnace at max but not that warm if you drop it down a bit. Current Fleet:-

Plus it won’t blow to heat up the cabin when you first start it up.....as the engine isn’t warm, so it waits until it can blow warm air. Otherwise it would blow cold air at you.

I just press the defrost button if I need it to blow. That will test the fan. Pressing defrost again will revert to auto once more and it will do its thing.

That’s if it’s working right of course.

Might need FSR replacing. Quite common and not that hard to do. It should gradually blow more if you turn the fan up. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Yes, Auto temp in these models seems to be very discreet. My fiancé was convinced it wasn't working when we picked up ours last year, as you really can't hear anything, especially when compared to the full manual mode when the fans start blasting away.

But our does definitely work perfectly, you just wouldn't know it's there Smile.

So I suspect nothing to worry about - set it to super cold or super hot and see if it gradually has an affect.

Nmj
How do you turn off the seat belt warning?
I have an Iid Bluetooth at home, going to change the vin numbers when I get back, and see what’s going on here.
Also, they put owners manuals in for a bloody L405, how do I check engine oil level, and change speedo to Km
Ps: I hate predictive text!

Can’t remember off the top, there’s instructions on here. Something to do with plugging in and ejecting the seatbelt seven/eight/nine times.

Also I think it needs doing with the ignition on I think.

Have a search on here There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Tried my manual fan this morning. Doesn’t do much if you just turn up the fan. You get more fan, but you have to change all air direction settings to feel it.

I recon yours is fine, if I were a betting man.

I assume if you press Defrost you get full fan and loads of air to windscreen? 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8
