I’m guessing he might mean guarantee on the new compressor when it’s fitted.

The aircon technition tells me if I have a new compressor fitted without changing the condensor, the compressor manufacture will not honour the warranty of say 12 months on the compressor because they will claim that contamination from the old compressor has cause premature failure of their compressor |

I think there might be a thread on here about doing the compressor yourself, if memory serves. Prob won’t have a warranty then though....

I had mine replaced without the condenser being replaced. It wasn't even mentioned! I think I got a 2 yr warranty on the genuine LR part.
