Farnells in Leeds have one on LRAU described as a demo. Not cheap and bright orange, but would give you an idea how it drives. There are two others, one also Leeds, in case they are more suitable. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |

I would write to LR MD and say you were going to buy one (RR SC AB DYN) but as LR couldn't supply a test drive, you have bought a Bentley Bendover as 1. They could arrange a test drive....2. It beat the FF sport in the fifth gear test.. err 3. they know how to do customer service!!

I'd have just gone old school and rung the dealer and spoken to someone, saves waiting for a reply to an email that appears to be automated anyway.

I had the same problem, no assistance from local dealer when I asked about test driving one. In the end decided to go used old shape but bought that unseen and never having driven one. However on the basis it looks better, sounds better and is a petrol I thought I would enjoy it more than the sdv8 I was trading up from. As it happens I think it’s fantastic and am very happy. Oddly it rides better which I wasn’t expecting plus is much faster, handles brilliantly, stays flat where the sdv8 would roll and is all round a lot of fun. Mpg not great but now I don’t have to handle diesel.

Been told JLR are issuing accreditation’s for SV approved dealers. Some dealers are ordering SVA’s for showroom and won’t sell them until they can replace them with another one (part of the rules of accreditation). I’ve had to buy before I try too but after reading others experiences here am relaxed that I will like it when it comes. |
