Yesterday my lower glovebox became impotent, it just wouldn't stay up.
Quite well timed as this evening I was taking the gloveboxes out (whilst retrofitting a venture cam). A prod through the hole for the stay seemed to indicate the issue but it can be more clearly seen below;

The little bit of foam rubber is all that holds the stay across, so that it catches on the edge. If your lower glovebox has developed a droop then you'll probably find the piece of foam rubber is still in there, just pushed to one side. With the glovebox lowered you should be able to fish it out, glue it & get it back in place, through the hole without having the faff on of taking the glovebox out.
Just thought it may be easier for someone to sort when they can see the issue in a pic.
