Simple question really - does the full size spare mean a hump in the boot floor? |

As James May would say - Cock! My dealer said it would so I went for a space saver which is why I've now got 3 wheels on my wagon until tomorrow. Thanks chaps! |

I can fit my full size 21" in the boot by taking out the 2 polystyrene blocks that hold the space saver and the useless l/R

I was imagining the same daft cover that you get in an F-Pace with a full size spare (see below) - I'm a bit irritated that the dealer got it so wrong!

I swapped my wheel on Saturday while driving to Disneyland Paris and used the scissor jack without an issue. I had a puncture on the inside wall of the tyre so a new one is required. Hey ho, tis only money, I'll just have to print some more! |

As mentioned if the car originally came with a space saver wheel you have to remove the polystyrene supports so that it will fit. Also if the car had a space saver from new you don't get the winch strap to help get a full size spare out of the boot. |

I would suggest not trying to lift a full size spare out without the winch strap as it hurts an awful lot if you do. I watched the guy at a tyre place today attempt to do it with mine and he may be off for a week or so. I did explain but he knew best. The next guy took my advice. Simple bit of kit but just makes it so much easier. |

Where’s the compressor if there’s no hump in the wheel well? ______________________________
