Rear passenger door stuck shut!

Hello all,
So my rear passenger door wont open, it locks you can hear the lock moving but internal and external door handle do not open the car.
if i press the internal button down to lock the internal handle will pop the button up so I guess that cable is ok.

I suspect it may be a broken cable BUT

I cant get the door open to get the door card off?

I have undone all 4 screws but i guess the door card is held/squashed in the door rubber?

Any idea how i can get the door card off or door open?

Big Cry

Open the front door and undo the bolts holding the rear door on. When you can pull the front of the door out, pop the door card to get your hand in and release the lock. Two man job though. Try another way and you'll be buying a new door card. Good luck. 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

Oh Crap,
Thanks for the tip, i had thought that may be the case?
Are we talking the bolts to the B post or the hinge pins?
Are you suggesting loosening them or taking the door off?

Thanks

C

Dont mess with hinge pins. Take the bokts on the B post out and open the door. That wiil allow the door card to cpme off. Go from there 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

Just a thought regarding your door panel. I think you could probably remove your door panel in situ using a piece of flat steel strip with the end turned at right angles for about 10mm.
If you have a look at your other rear door you will see a gap between the door panel and the door frame where the panel two sections are joined horizontally. If you put your hook in this position you should be able to quite easily pull that part of the panel off. It's then a case of working progressively along the edge of the panel in both directions to undo the other clips. Undoing the fixing screws I think you should the be able to pull the panel up and off the top edge.
If you look closely at the door panel edges you will see that nothing actually stops it being pulled off in situ, it's just a case of getting in to get it started.
I haven't had the need to do this myself but should the need arise it is certainly what I would try initially.

Taking the door off would certainly work but.....
