IIRC it is remove the passenger side inner wheelarch then employ a small monkey/marsupial to reach in and release the locks .

It's probably broke at the join that sits near the wing line of the bonnet. I'd order both cables. V8 or else ... |

Mine snapped at the pull handle. I managed to get mole grips on the end of the cable and pull it.

When mine snapped I removed the drivers side wheel, pulled the plastic inner guard cover off, reached up to the drivers side front corner between the air ducting and grabbed the cable , pulled and it opened |

Ok, removed the passenger side inner wheel arch, but no access to the bonnet release?

the cable is not on the passenger side, its on the drivers side.. |

Well we found it has snapped at the handle, but can’t see the remains in the hole to pull

Worth a try putting some hefty mole grips (or similar gripping/crushing tool) further up the cable to see if you can squash the outer cable and grab the inner in the process, then pull.
