Possibly a sticking selector mechanism.

Hi, no immobiliser fitted, forgot to mention, the 1st time it happened, I restarted the car and the red triangle came on, restricted preformance, turned the car off for 10 minutes and and restarted worked fine, also called out the AA, who could not find a fault code. |

Car was running strange again today (lumpy I suppose is the best way to put it..) so into the garage I use it went.
