I haven't done one there yet but I'd expect the bulb pulls out of the holder. Ron B. VK2OTC

Think you will find the bulb is spot welded in to the holder, it maybe has a bmw part number on it if you look and as far as I am aware they are no longer available been looking for some myself, been trying to see if can mod something to fit instead. |

It is a BMW part number and the only place I could get one was a guy on eBay who I no longer have details of. If you search on here you'll find the part number. JLR don't supply the bulb separately. They want to sell you the complete dash unit at around £200. 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged

I found the old BMW invoice from when I replaced 1 of my bulbs, popped the part number into eBay and it's available as follows: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E38-E39-Ash...ctupt=true

No definitely spot welded, magnifying glass job to see it and I know what a spot weld looks like, Vauxhall do the same trick with there dash bulbs so it means new bulb and holder. |

Good news, BMW can supply bulb/holder at £8.44 each, took a few dealerships ,but one that went the extra mile, the part number above - has been super seeded by another which is not available yet as most dealerships suggested, how ever they were able to apply the new code to there stock making it available, so splashed out and bought 2
