Am considering the same dilemma myself, do the steps not give a bit of protection against dents from b*stards in supermaret car park that like to throw open their doors when they get out?

I think you could still convince them by replacing them with deployable sidesteps: the best of both worlds!

From your Land Rover dealer.

Here's the link to the Accessories page on the UK Land Rover website.

Not sure it will fit pre-2010 models though.[/url]

I have tubes on a silver Vogue SE and they look great in my opinion, added tubes to swhmbo Freeloader too! No harm with a bit of bling. 2018 Range Rover Autobiography

I would propose retractable side steps, but seeing that you have a 06, it is not an option... I used to have steps, but never really liked the look! 2000 BMW M5, Avus Blue/LeMans Leather Interior

Bare in mind though that if you ever need to change a tyre with RSS, the steps have to be removed first before you can jack the vehicle.

Scotland 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue

My car came with original RR chrome tubes, but purely for practical reasons I've replaced them with steps, so if there's any interest, there may well be a set of OEM chrome tubes on the market if the price is right! Thumbs Up Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey
