Belt tensioner

About the TD6

Hi all
Due to malfunctioning of the air conditioner belt tensioner, the poly of this began to oscillate and completely destroyed the main belt. I have tried in several ways to remove the tensioner and I can not. I loosened the screw in the back, unscrewed the 2 screws that hold the body of the tensioner and it does not come out.
Any tips or procedure to withdraw?

Thanks

Antonio

When I removed this I couldn't get the arm assembly out of the tensioner body, but on undoing the two screws i was able to remove the whole thing (tensioner and pulley were OK, so not an issue)

The tensioner body should release and come off with a few gentle taps from a hide hammer or similar

Would post an image from RAVE but don't want to get into trouble with the forum's copyright Police Twisted Evil .

Tensioner

Hi Joe,
I also saw the images on RAVE and I did as indicated but I could not remove it and I was afraid to break something if it made more force. As I wrote earlier, I removed the two screws that hold the tensioner body and in addition to oscillating, did not come out.
Cheers

Fairly certain it is not attached to the compressor in any way, was able to remove the compressor without removing the tensioner body. The tensioner body just slots into the hole. Not sure why the arm wouldn't come out, and like you didn't want to hit it too hard! .

The tensioner as out. But for that I have to soak it with WD40 and a screw at the end, and hit that screw with a hammer.
The body of the tensioner has some signs of damaged probably due to bad bushes.
Probably to remove and replace that bushes the AC compressor must be removed and I don't take that risk.
