Correct towbar for exterior design pack?

So I have the exterior design pack on my ff . I wanted to put the detachable towbar on so I naively found one off ff braking genuine one. Anyway got it on today after a lot of swearing but the attached is still low and I cant put the plastic trim on the bottom on... is there anyway I can make this work? I’m thinking of cutting a notch out of the trim panel hopefully it will be less visible then...

you could make the whole thing removable, and just fit it when needed. Or use a farmers hitch. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

There should be a cut out line on the plastic Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I do indeed Sir, there are other posts on here that suggest there is a clear line to cut to, I think CamTechCraig was the one mentioning it Smile Current: 2011 FFRR Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

This square line? I will try it - but then I’ve got to ask was the point of taking the middle cover off above it? So you don’t scratch the number?

Hey Dan, have a look at this thread.http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic48695.html I had a westfalia swan neck detachable fitted to mine a couple of weeks ago. The only thing I can't figure out is how to access the sockets - I can see them inside the bumper but can't figure out how to get to them Big Cry

Let me know if you would like some more pics Thumbs Up

Cut it at lunchtime - it’s still fairly visible though is that right? I thought the point was to hide it? Also can’t access the electrics do they need moving?

Yes thats the correct fitment... The panel needs removing every time you use the tow bar... The small panel above that can be removed as to not scratch it when docking trailers... Thumbs Up

When i had mine i plugged a separate tow bar electrics loom in behind the righthand inner fusebox cover panel (inside the boot) i then simply plugged a long springy extension from my trailer into it... I simply closed it into the corner of the lower tailgate Thumbs Up

Thanks Craig I was thinking that was the way last night - typical LR laziness lol they want to the trouble of concealing 90% of the towbar with that bumper why didn’t they blow the cover slightly thicker to hid it totally Current stable:
