So probably a silly question but should you change all 4 tyres at the same time or not. My fronts are quite worn on inside edges, recently had both lower suspension bushes replaced for play so that probably hasn’t helped the wear. Rears have 4-5mm left.

in an ideal world yes you would, but not every one can afford to do that ..

Thanks, that makes sense as I’m currently running round with front and rear tread mismatched. And assuming the fronts always wear first that will always be the case. Will go get two new front tyres in the next week or so.

They recommend that on every car - but it's not a mechanical thing - the logic is that the average driver can handle understeer better than oversteer, so put the worse tyres on the front. |
