I dont know about Land Rover but some cars (my VW Touareg) used to pulse the bulbs for a very short time, not enough to heat up a conventional filament bulb to test if it was there and OK. LED's react quick enough to illuminate at full brightness momentarily. It sounds like may be a possibility. BMW i3 Electric Car

the FF has hot and cold bulb monitoring..both can be switched of with the iidtool.. |

Exactly the same as the VW system described above... Known as Hot & Cold running as Stan says above |

Every day an education! thanks guys I didnt know about hot / cold monitoring or that it could be turned off with the GAP tool. BMW i3 Electric Car
