*Update*
So I topped up another £15 of diesel last night and tried to start - no cranking whatsoever.
Today I had a guy come out at the expense of the warranty company and he plugged in his Autologic diagnostic, which came up with almost 120 fault codes. Had a look under the bonnet, he connected a charger to the old battery and he bled the fuel line of any air (he said there was quite a bit in there) and we tried again - started to crank but no joy.
It was getting dark around 6:30pm so I got my torch from the garage and set about swapping the existing (I suspect original) AGM battery to the new AGM battery I pictured yesterday. Second time of asking it finally burst into life.
Went round to my local Shell garage and filled another £40 worth of diesel, taking it to half a tank and now it's running nicely. Started up again right on the button so fingers crossed we're in the clear.
Having said all that, there must clearly be some kind of issue where the car is displaying incorrect fuel levels on the digital dash. I'd be looking for them to definitely fix that as I don't want to end up back here again. What's the likely cause of this?
Appreciate all the help you guys have given - thanks a lot.
