Special programmes off

Hi, any suggestions of causes on the following problem would be greatly appreciated. A couple of weeks ago about 2 mins after starting got a message “special programmes off” and car went into limp home mode. Pulled over and restarted and all fine. This has now happened each of the last two mornings at exactly the same point in my journey therefore same amount of time. No other symptoms apart from slightly more smokey than usual on heavy acceleration! 2008 3.6 TDV8 114k
