England 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

In the 50 or so years I have been playing with cars never come across a starter that looks like that one, I have had the switch burn out, the wifes uncle had a brand new Hillman Avenger (remember them) company car and the starter was stuck engaged from day one he took it back when he worked what the noise was for new starter and switch.

Well new starter on and she is alive but just need a new ignition now. The guy at europarts had also never seen a starter motor that bad when I happily passed it over.

@kds2 yep I had a Hilman avenger as my first car, big compfy seats!

I know that the starters have changed considerably now to cover start / stop etc. But it does seem small for the the type of engine.
Saying that the electrics have changed so much now, take the size of the jump packs.
Good to know that it's sorted though.

PS I had the Hillman Hunter GLS, with the Holbay engine & twin side draft Webers (Wolf in sheeps clothing). Ah those were the days.

Thanks all,
New starter and end of key barrel and she lives on, feels so good to be rolling in her again.
