Note to self

Changing IIS settings on a web server you are connecting through is much the same as chain-sawing through the branch you are standing on.

Oops.

Ouch.

Same as changing the adaptive modulation profile on a radio you're connecting through 2 1/2 hours drive away.
Big Cry

hope you sort it.

Is the Web Server service running? Application Pool and the website (in IIS) running? They're usually the main culprits. Service Unavailable usually occurs when something isn't running

There are more suggestions here -> http://forums.iis.net/p/1173989/1964910.aspx#1964910 Paul

I changed the service account that IIS ran under. Whilst trying to sort a .net connection to sqlserverexpress error I was getting.

Of course if I was sat at the machine it wouldnt be a problem, but I terminal into it via a web interface so cant even use standard remote desktop because I've not configured a port redirect on the router. And have not set external access up for the router. Big Cry

No biggy, just means I'll have to do some work today. I'll revert the settings back when I get home.
