Help! Jumpstarting a 2012 4.4 TDV8 with a DBPOWER Power Bank

Been camping in France all week with my 2012 TDV8 4.4 and after 6 days of locking/unlocking the car and opening/closing the doors the battery is now flat.

I don't have jump leads at hand though I may be able to get some but I do have the DBPOWER 600A 18000mAh portable jump starter which is supposed to jump diesels up to 5.2lr.

Link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/DBPOWER-18000mAh-...ds=dbpower

Will I be able to jump start my L322 with this?

Most of the info I find on jump starting L322s pertains to the older models. Can anyone tell me the correct way to perform the jump start on my model?

Also, if I get it started, how long do I need to drive it to charge the battery up roughly?

I appreciate any help you can offer as the issue is fairly urgent. I'm supposed to be heading home on Monday. 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 automatic (LHD), Santorini Black

Connect the jump pack directly to the battery terminals and then switch the pack on. Leave the ignition OFF (this is a good time to check your auto lights are OFF) and leave everything alone for a good 20mins... Then attempt to start the car as normal...

If the car starts i would leave it to idle for a good 10-15mins...

To fully charge the battery may take upto an hour of driving!

Thanks for the quick reply. Will try that although the instructions tell you to connect the pack and then start car but I'll give it a go.

Is there any chance of odd side effects once it starts, like being stuck in limp-home mode or anything like that? 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 automatic (LHD), Santorini Black

Also disable the interior lights by holding the switch for a couple of seconds until the light flashes and then goes out.
They put quite a drain on the battery if you leave a door open or the tailgate open.

Much more chance of a side effect if you just plug the jump pack in and start!!! Leaving it for 20-30mins allows the battery to charge and to take the strain when you start it...

If you have a mains supply - then I'd be inclined to follow Craigs advice to get something into the battery, but then charge the portable pack back up to full and reconnect it before starting the car - every little helps Thumbs Up

BTW - whereabouts in France ? If you're anywhere near me I'll bring some jump leads round

Thanks for the offer, Alistair, however I'm up in Alpe d'Huez.

Got the car started again this afternoon. The power bank above didn't work. The car just drained all its power and still didn't start. We got some jump leads off another camper and after about half an hour with it connected to a friend's car it finally started up. Took it for an hour's drive and it drives ok. However, there are a few problems now:

The transmission warning light is on.
The rear door electric windows don't work (from any door)
The press-and-hold window wind action on the driver's door only works going down but not up.

There may be other things I haven't noticed yet. I'm just happy it's running again.

Thanks for all your help, people Bow down

The window symptoms seem similar to when the sunroof issue that can be solved by resetting it. Is there a similar reset routine for the windows? 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 automatic (LHD), Santorini Black

I'll leave that until I get home. Don't want to risk meddling now I've got it going.

Also, the mirrors no longer fold in and out when locking /unlocking and the car horn (not the alarm) beeps twice when I lock it. 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 automatic (LHD), Santorini Black
