Do you have a source for the Alpine DAB tuner?

At £400 its a bit dear - I wonder whethere there is another Alpine DAB solution?

These guys at IK are local to me and had several sound systems installed from them in the past. Will pop in and see what they can sort for me.

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Tonga Green

I just paid £235 for the unit, which was about £50 over the budget I set myself.

The intravee is a great bit of kit. There is also a DSP unit you can add, that some of the BMW lot are doing.

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

I have come up with a simple solution.

Iphone + BBC iplayer Radio + suitable lead = Free (subject to tariff)

and is as good as the mobile network you are on. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Haha, yes, using your phone is probably the cheapest and best option for DAB, just connect it to the AUX input. Phone call voice will also come out of the speakers.

If you have a handsfree kit, cabled or a bluetooth with separate earphones(not full BT unit that sits in the ear), you can connect the output to the vehicles AUX, and extend the microphone to somewhere appropriate. Then you also have yourself a hands free kit.

Thing is, which would suit your area better, the phone reception or the DAB radio antennas.

Just a note, you have an antenna for the Alpine DAB unit already in the car. Some BMW owners have done it this way, so they do not need to get another antenna. However, which is better in which area is a little unknown.
