Hi everyone,

Recently had a warning come up on the dash saying low brake fluid. I got home and topped up with some fresh fluid. Upon attempting to restart the vehicle - nothing. The dash displays the ‘press brake when starting’ even when the pedal is fully to the floor. The pedal also gets 90% down and then clicks/knocks before being fully depressed.

I’ve had a look to see if the brake pedal switch had somehow got disconnected but all seems ok (even though I’m not sure how a piece of plastic senses the pedal moving?)

It’s a 2012 Westminster
Battery shows 11.6 volts

So, I’ve spent hours trawling the internet to see if there have been similar reports and the closest I came was a guy in America and he solved the problem by stamping hard on the brake pedal - voila!

Started first time but I’m stuck with a very long travel on the pedal and hardly any braking power at all....

sounds like the brakes need bleeding to get rid of an air lock.. ... - .- -.
