reclining seats

seeking clarification about rear seats.

SE / AB spec seem to have reclining rears. does the reclining function limit or prevent the seats folding flat?

They don't fold flat as such - the seat backs fold over the bases, so there's a lip and then the seat back is at an angle.

You can fold them into this position electrically using a button in the boot though Cool

Not sure if the manual seats fold any flatter.....

No - My L322 seats went flatter as once the back was lowered, the whole thing rolled forward again - the L405 doesn't do the second part. So feels like the load space is longer, but not so flat

Another feature of the L405 is that you can fold down just the centre seat - so for skis or similar, quite a lot better than the L322

off topic, but gotta ask Alistair,

What make is your dog guard and are you happy with it ? was it easy to fit or did you need to hack parts of the interior trim away etc ? Is it robust?

thanks

It's fit for my purpose & I'm happy - got it off eBay - Trav-All is the brand

We have 2 small dogs and the FFRR is perfect as they sit on top of the parcel shelf - so I only need a half height guard and it's not in any way stressed. No adjustments required - a central mesh piece & the 2 side supports screw in

It came with a couple of poles that ran down to the D rings in the boot, but the would have required altering the parcel shelf, so I just didn't fit them & seems to be all OK - and I've been using it for 3 years Thumbs Up
