Australia 2007 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Java Black
Any idea what these are?

Changed my front discs and pads and found these on the axle shaft, between the wheel and disc.

They look a bit worse for wear, but I can’t find a part number to order replacements.

Anyone any idea what they are?

Will the sky fall in without them??

Does the car have non standard wheels ?
Could they be centralising spigot rings which should fit on the hub to locate the wheel better.

Otherwise no idea - certainly nothing like that on our 2006 TDV8 when I did the brakes & suspension arms recently Paul,

Hmmm. There was fitted after market wheels when I bought it, but I refitted the original wheels soon after.

So, you might be onto something there.

I’m assuming the standard wheels are ‘centralised’ due to the tapered nuts? 2007 3.6 TDV8

The correct standard wheels should be a "snug" fit on the hub centre ( which is why they can sometimes require a knock to get them off if the wheel or hub has corroded)
The standard wheel nuts on an L322 don't have a taper to help centralise if I remember correctly
(unlike our Discovery 2 which has a small taper) Paul,

If you're back on standard L322 wheels - Not needed.
If you've got wheels from another Land Rover product, it would be worth checking if the wheel locates well on the hub before the nuts are fitted.
If a snug fitted, not needed. If a sloppy fit, they may be a benefit for centralisation, so try with them fitted. Paul,
