Hi guys, in a pickle right now with imminent holiday with the caravan on Monday !

Having issues with the suspension, can’t get it to calibrate seems to be locking me out! Have this fault!

Messages on dash are
Car will lift when system cools down
Suspension fault and something like reset when obstacle cleared!

Car is sitting at almost ride height but won’t do anything else!

Any help would be greatfully received and let us go on holibags

Many many thanks

Have you been asking it to go up and down on the drive in quick succession?

Go for a ten min drive, leave it alone don’t press Any thing then try it as you pull into the drive.

Compressor overheat usually happens when it’s racing to refill the tank after going up and down too much. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I had the same issue. In my case it was a leaking air bag.

In Offroad height I could hear the leak.

The compressor will reach it’s safe maximum temperature and disable itself until cooled down. Just a feature to stop it self destructing.

Here is a bit of diagnostic help I got from GAP

C113066 Air Spring Air Supply
Repeated or frequent level activity in the up direction
Air spring leak
Air harness leak
Exhaust valve stuck open
Corner valve leak to gallery
Visually inspect the system for air leakage.

I have the IID tool and used it to lower the suspension a little to ‘stop’ the leak until my new struts arrived.

If you’ve been calibrating it could just be you’ve taken a bit too long and the compressor has struggled to keep up with the air demand.

Hope that helps 2007 3.6 TDV8

Air leak or wonky height sensor Thumbs Up

Run the engine, monitor the current ride heights and/or voltages. They should all be fairly static. If that’s fine...

Attempt off road height. If there is a bag leaking, it should be fairly evident
