Hi, Car returned from dealers on Friday, major service, MOT, all good.

They found a loose connection on the the windscreen which was fixed, I’m told it will now heat both sides. I am guessing this was caused when National Windscreens replaced the screen last year.

They also renewed the 2 gas struts to the rear tailgate and adjusted it so it no longer rubs on the pillars all under warranty.

I have to say, good service from Inchcape Southampton (formally Hunters) Thier new service manager from Porsche seems to be making a difference! Current MY2020

Most likely culprit is a connection - you can easily remove the pillar cover, there's a bolt behind the Airbag badge which just prises off

There are 2 connectors - one does the wiper area only, the other does the entire screen - so it may be not connected - or maybe on the wrong connector

It's easy to test as you can feel the heated area with your hand

Sorted my windscreen not working.

National windscreen had connect the wrong cable to the element. Embarassed

In the passenger A pillar there is one spare connector (This is the one they have found) The correct cable had been tucked down near the side of the vent.

Just for fun on the Drivers A pillar there are two spare connectors - lucky they found the correct one but managed to trap the wires into the air vent.

Now happy but not impressed by National windscreen care and attention. Sad

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
