My 3.6 TDV8 has developed some odd symptoms, I get an intermittent whirring noise that seems to be related to engine speed, also tonight on the way home from work I got high coolant temperature warning and the gauge heading into the red, but almost a s soon as it got there it went back to normal. I have checked the coolant level and it is normal, could it be a failing water pump?
