I expect that there is a fault with one of the pre-requisite systems, such as a brake, steering angle sensor or suspension system error. If you don't see any messages on start-up then the fault codes will need to be read.

Check your messages. What is the reason for the warning triangle?

on the 4.4 (2011) it'd be the adaptive damper cables which are quite an easy fix.

I don't think the 3.6 (not 3.7 btw) has this but i'm not 100%. Look at your strut towers and see if there is a cable going in around the top. search adaptive dampers here to get a better idea of what to look for.

My damper cables went (common) and then I could not select any special programs.

Good luck!
. Cheers, Greg

+1 for checking the adaptive damper cables, though this tends to throw the adaptive dynamics fault message too, could be the yellow triangle message....

Check the cables going into the strut tops, they tend to break and can be soldered back together, or better still replaced with an upgraded cable. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks for your help peeps, will check cables. I keep getting adaptive dynamics fault but keeps coming and going but changed cables in summer . I didn't realise that this would affect special features mode

Have you disconnected the battery recently?

The date is wrong.
