It's reasonable. Solid, though has some surface rust - nothing flaking off, just the black powder coating is missing off some/most of it.

Would only cost 50 quid to have that blasted and powder coated , so big saving on new 4.2 SC - sold , now bought back

Presume it's the main front subframe and the subframe with the towing eye? |

The engine subframe and front towing eye subframe are 2 separate parts. All of this is now off the car. From memory, the engine subframe is held to the body by 4 bolts and to the engine with 2 engine mounts. The steering rack is also bolted to this subframe. The towing eye subframe is bolted to the the engine subframe and the front chassis legs.
