Great url with lpg forum I will completely read soon. But sounds very very similar to my issue initially. Mine was 5k to do the engine rebuild. I had even sent them the valve clearances pre rebuild to show that it needed to be reshimmed.

Unfortunately they told me it was hydraulic tappets in my engine (which was later prvoven inaccurate) so they couldnt measure clearances post build which I thought was odd. They also reused some gaskets which I think is a little naughty for an engine rebuild.

SO I feel I have paid close to 5k and more post rebuild to try and rectify my issues. Now I feel that due to an experienced LR mechanic confirming post build tolerances were worse that this complete rebuild was a big waste of time and they didnt actually sort out what I asked for in the first place, which was to bring everything back into tolerance.

This so far has been a nightmare however Im so invested in the vehicle now and cant just sell it and certainly couldnt sell it in its current state and the guilt would destroy me. Range Rover Vogue SE 2007 L322 4.2 Supercharged 121k. Engine rebuilt @ 120666 Miles

In the last 12 months, mine has had a gearbox, transfer box, 4 tyres, 2 new diffs, 4 new wheel bearings, and every single bush and ball joint will have been replaced when I get it back together this time around!

So to update a settlement has been agreed out of court and I need a new company to bring valve clearances back into tolerance.
