Rear wheel bearing suspect

Gents have a faint whine at 80 drive through and it disappears wondering if it could be rear wheel bearing or might it be rear diff ?

It could be tyres. Try rotating both rear tyres to the front. I had a bearing like noise at the front that disappeared when I changed tyres. ______________________________

What year model, there is a LR tech document for L322 2010-2011 with transfercase whine at about 100-120kph due to chain micro pixellation or some weird wording like that.. it is a very very faint whine..

Mine had that very fault and was repaired under motorplan, however misdiagnosed & entire rear diff replaced despite my informing our local LR agent of the transfercase issue in which my VIN number falls..

They embarrisingly replaced the chain after the new diff presented no audible benefits, all resolved, was told I could keep the new diff, not worth their swopping things out again, so I thanked them and took their kind offer..

Just personally done the front wheel bearings on mine and it was a dog to do, I could find nothing on the web of any value as a reference so decided to document the procedure & capture my moments.. not sure if this is allowed but my entire writeup including many pics is here..:

Alas mine is older 2007 but it may well be the same thing - I first heard it in the summer whilst in france and hoped by now it would be louder or something would have failed I have done another 10k miles since and just the same

My 2008 SC sport had that very whine as well, never got to figuring out which part had failed, but sold her after doing some 60k and the whine never got any louder....

....unless my hearing got worse...... Laughing

It seems that the solution may be tied to the radio volume control Laughing
