Sorry for wrong section , thought it might be a techie help as well as wanted, however , Mitre mate....Halfords? I’m wandering if I could embed some very small pins into both bits as well as some sort of glue. Is Araldite the same as Mitre mate ? |

Screwfix, araldite is not the same. Much more messy. Mitrefix is colourless and fast grab. But don’t be tempted to operate the switch for an hour or 2.

Didn't really work , the plastic is too hard to grip the button, so I drilled two small 1mm holes and dropped or gently pushed two small panel pins in to what was left of the surface leaving a small amount protruding so that the button can sit onto them . Unfortunately to secure the button which had a void inside to accommodate the pins and so filled these up with molecular metal. This part didn't work so well as the pins had too much movement and so the button is not too stable , perhaps I will try Araldite instead? |
