I think you can use it to read codes on more than one vehicle but to clear faults and do any sort of reconfiguration you will need another vin license. I don't think having a second one is that expensive but drop a note to Pat at Gap (they're a site sponsor on here) they're very responsive. 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey

I was under the impression you just bought the licence for another vehicle so it would be unlocked for that vehicle also to use the one tool. |

I emailed the the other day asking this, but they on holiday till next year. Dose say in their faq that you can assign it to a new vin for £25 |

I’m sure you can assign to a new vin if you change car and it’s £25 . Buying another license to use iid on another car as well as yours is £60 . |

I got a response from GAP, and as the unit will read and reset faults I on any compatable vehicle, not just the VIN vehicle(really useful, GAP), I will think about a second licence for the wife's Freelander 2, the only thing I'd like to change is the folding mirrors on locking, although I'm sure my wife likes it!!

Any compatible vehicle? So if you have vin locked to an L322 it would have access to the same albeit in a limited role. |

I managed to read and clear the faults on my brother-in-law's Jaguar XK with my IIDBT. Same stable so I guess it must be a "compatible" vehicle!! 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE
