What makes you think you need to code it to your car?
I replaced mine and didn't need to code it.... ______________________________

What are you using for diagnostics?

Have you tried a battery reset and a steering turned fully left and right? ______________________________

I’ve used snap on, icarsoft and had a guy use hawkeye and iid tool. I’ve tried the lock to lock a few times i’ve also calibrated the steering on the diag but none of these will let me code anything unfortunately i have seen posts people having there coded just not seen anyone north west ways .

It’s odd because when I was looking to replace mine I trawled the BMW forums, most of them said that recoding wasn’t necessary so I went with the majority.

Luckily I didn’t have to recode mine but I did find on the BMW forums a program and dongle to do most of the coding in the Range Rover. Have a look for a program called P.A Soft 1.40 it allowed me to code a replacement instrument cluster to my Range Rover.

Have a look on YouTube and go through the BMW forums for any help, tips and instructions - I did and it helped me.

Good luck ______________________________

If you do invest in PASoft, look at http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic44995.html first.

Basically you may need to check the software from China for malware, and the hardware for the correct straps internally and poor soldering.

That said, mine is working well as far as I can tell. I haven't tried recoding with it, though. Old 110 2.3 Petrol ???? - ????
