Streaks on windscreen

Hi folks,

Has anyone else got this? (See pic) they are definitely not scratches and appear when the screen is wet but go away when wipers wipe the rain away.

I did have the polymer coating and think it may have come off.. any idea how I fix this? Seen a kit on ebay claiming to provide flat aero wipers for 2009 on FFRR not sure.

Worn / micro scratches due to wiper blades not being changed very often...

Replace it is the only real time cure I’m afraid sir...

Thats the thing Craig.. I do replace them regularly and hardly ever have to use the wipers as I have a polymer coating which why I am confused.

I am going to try the aero ones this time.. has anyone tried them? Are they ok? Any instructions on to fit them as I understand you have to take all the plastics off and there is no going back? Current:

Even if you've changed the blades regularly, the old style blades have the branching arms / fingers which put the pressure down on the rubber unevenly, which is why you're seeing the uneven wear.

I juts bought and fitted a set of the aero wipers. Too early to judge on how good they are across all conditions. As for no going back, if you're careful you can remove the plastic without breaking it ... but you need to be very careful when doing it. The plastic is quite brittle.

Fitting was easy ... although the blades too a fair bit of force to clip in. It was very snug fit for mine. V8 or else ...

Ok guys.. got my wipers delivered and fitted them fairly easily.. couldnt save the plastic it has said there for so many years.

Anyhow tried them out yesterday and while the driver side is fine. They seem to miss a section out on the passenger side which has dampened the excitement a little bit.

I read on another thread here that someone had the same issue and wondering how it can be resolved?

Many thank (and Festive Greetings to one and all) Current:

I think they gave the wiper arm a tweek (twist) to get the blade to sit squarer to the screen.

Here it is

I think we used to be able to be adjust the angle on the wiper where It bolts on. I think they may have changed that on the later arms tho, I can’t remember. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

These are the non hook ones and all the thread I have read do not suggest the wiper arm needs a mod. I think it may be a bad wiper.. will report back. Current:
